Ep. 034 - Rigorous Truths (w. Emma Elie) *Explicit*

Image
This is going to be interesting.  It's one thing to have lifelong friends on the podcast. It's certainly a different kind of beast when this same person happens to be one of the kindest, generous yet most brutally honest and ferociously upfront individuals around. I keep a close-knit group of people in my circle and Emma has had a prominent place among these singular souls whose friendship, insight and honesty have been a true gift. Mother, Woman, Entrepreneur... Emma has certainly seen her fair share of personal circumstances and has never shied away from dishing out her many doses of somewhat inconvenient yet necessary  and empowering truths ( see here ). I was thrilled to have her on the podcast as we let 20+ years of friendship take over a fun, candid, transparent conversation about marriage, parenting, dating in 2018, womanhood... and so much more. You can connect with Emma via her Instagram feed , or drool over -and place an order- for her tasty

Ep. 030 - Do not be anxious. Recalibrate. (w. Tanguy Exume)

© Alain Mercier (IG: @dmjazzmusic) - All Rights Reserved Blessed. 'Tis indeed the word. When you come out the other end of yet another powerful and thought-provoking exchange - all you do is take a second, breathe it in and realize that certain opportunities, connections, conversations and people are truly a blessing. My guest, Tanguy Exume, was nothing short of an amazing spirit to have on the program. With a genuine philosophy of kindness, resilience, patience and mindfulness, there was no time for questions - only for listening. And sometimes, too often actually, we lose sight of how important this simple act can be. Wearing a variety of hats ranging from - and I'm not making these up - dedicated  Crossfit Athlete ,  to  Poet , to  published author , to  Teacher , to  Salsa Insctructor , to most notably and closest to my heart, loving husband and father...Tanguy is a singular expression of eclectic Awesomeness. Stoicism, acceptance, personal truth, recalibratio

Ep. 029 - Me, Myself & IG

Following some kind encouragement from a few friends, I recorded an Instagram LIVE Story a few days ago. Obviously, with the fairly little warning I'd given, a couple of people got back to me asking if the broadcast session would be available for later viewing. The concern did not fall onto deaf ears. This is the result. I have to admit it's a rather revealing experience when you listen to yourself from the audience's perspective. I touched on some personal stories I had all but forgotten. After listening, I realized how these events and circumstances have impacted me in a rather significant way. I'm all about transparency. Wine helps. Enjoy. Ep. 028 - Dream. Do. (w. Ben Gardere)

© Dimitri Rousseau (IG: @zendimz) - All Rights Reserved When circumstances become rather consequential and the situation demands your rather immediate attention...what do you do? When you get hit with an idea, and the choice remains on you to pursue it or let it pass...what do you do? At some point or another, we've all come across this familiar fork in the road along our journey,  be it creative or otherwise, where we have an actionable and impactful choice to make. In this very candid conversation with my guest Benjamin Gardere , writer, director, production assistant, and very well-versed individual in all things film, these are some of the very truths that we address. This was indeed a wonderful and intimate recap on a particular and very recent chapter where he had that very choice in front of him :  To dream or To do. Simple. Not always easy, but simple. You can connect with Ben via his Vimeo page where you can check out some his great work and short f
