Ep. 161 - Wealth Matters (w. Rocky Lalvani)

Image
I'm going to say this outright even though know it'll raise a few eyebrows: Money matters. Coming from a country where the differences between the 'Haves' and the 'Have Nots' were so obvious, I was very well acquainted with the importance of setting yourself up for a proper financial future. Which is why, for this particular episode, I wanted to find someone that I believe would provide the proper vantage point as well as appropriate insight to help me drive this point home. Having emigrated from his native India to the United States with his parents when he was just 3 years old, Rocky Lalvani has seen firsthand what it looks like to build a wealthy lifestyle out of nothing through saving, investing, and spending wisely. Rocky serves as a Chief Profitability Adviser for business owners and is the founder of Profit Comes First . He teaches financial planning and growing one's wealth because that’s what he's done and he doesn't...

Ep. 063 - Pursue What Inspires You (w. Christopher Durst)

Image
© Chris Romain (IG: @chrisromain) All Rights Reserved One of the truest and most amazing things about this journey is the incredible conversations and wonderful insights I get to experience from these awesome people who accept my invitation to sit down and share their story and time. Most often, these people are genuinely new to my circle and these recordings are often the first interactions we get to have with each other. But, on some instances, some of these amazing guests are people whose work I've been a fan of for a really long time. And it's a pretty awesome treat when they say "Yes" to be on the program. A wildly inspired Photographer, Entrepreneur, Philanthropist... Christopher Durst has had an incredible impact on me over the years. Through what I can only describe as a sense purpose and drive, Christopher's message of overall body of work expresses a perspective that has always resonated with me over the years. On this episo...

Ep. 041 - Two Black Guys (& a Gal) with Good Credit (w. Shaun Lynda, Dionne Nicholls, Arlington Forbes)

I must say that this episode should definitely be filed under the <Long Overdue> category. About two years ago, I had the opportunity to meet Ms Dionne Nicholls. From our conversation and my genuine respect for her warm personality and infectious motivation, I realized there was something special going on there. Indeed, the more we talked and eventually connected, I ended up writing a blog post/review  of her podcast " Two Black Guys With Good Credit " which she co-hosts  with the dynamic duo that are Shaun Lynda  & Arlington Forbes . Having been on the lesser end of financial freedom myself and slowly but surely building my way back up the hill, I can't tell what a imperative asset it is to sharpen your mind, habits and mindset towards a goal-oriented, practical and strategic financial journey. This is a special group of people who, through their podcast and Financially CLEAN! (a non-profit youth mentoring program), have made it their mission to reach...
